About NKVet

The Nordic Committee for Veterinary Scientific
Cooperation, (Nordisk Komité for
Veterinærvitenskapelig Samarbeid, NKVet) was
founded in 1977,with the five Nordic Veterinary
Associations agreeing on mutual goals and procedures.
An agreement was made with the Nordic Joint
Committee for Agricultural Research (NKJ) giving
economical support for NKVet.

NKVet aims are to promote increased veterinary
research cooperation between veterinarians and researchers within the Nordic countries.

With limited resources, the activities of NKVet have focused upon the organization and conduct of veterinary scientific symposia. These symposia are open to all interested persons and the proceedings have been published.

Since 1995, the official language of the symposia has been English
